Insurance Services Organization (ISO) provides reliable, up-to-date information about a community’s fire-protection services through the Public Protection Classification (PPC™) program. ISO’s PPC Service evaluates the capacity of the local fire department to respond to and fight structure fires. With an increase of personnel, placement of apparatus in district, and the support of the community, Wescott was able to improve their ISO classification. Hydrant areas went from a class 5 to a class 3, and rural (no hydrants) went from a class 9 to a class 3y. This improved fire protection classification could potentially save you money on your home or business fire insurance. Check with your agent to see if you could be saving money!
Hydrant communities: Class 3
Rural (non-hydrant) communities: Class 3Y
